Lil Pumpkin

Isn't she just the cutest pumpkin you've ever seen?

I kind of feel bad for the other babies who may be wearing this onesie today, because unfortunately, it's just not true for them.

Thanks, Oprah

I'm not personally a huge Oprah fan, but I sure don't mind getting a good deal because of her! For those of you who go to department stores or nine west and purchase $75 shoes, you can just go ahead and stop reading right here. For those who are like me and rarely (maybe never) buy shoes that are from anywhere besides Target, Rack Room, and Payless... this is your lucky day!!

Payless Shoes is giving Oprah "fans" 50% off their ENTIRE in-store purchase! All you have to do is go here to print out the coupon! Better yet... you can simply text OPRAHSHOW to 242424, and they will text you back with the coupon. Simply show the text to the store clerk, and they'll give you the discount! You just really can't beat this deal! But you better hurry, because it ends tomorrow!

Happy Shoe Shopping!

Update from Allie

Well, I sure you are all happy to hear that the blog, which was temporarily overtaken by craft fairs, has now been given back to its rightful owner, Allie girl. She is, after all, the reason that most of you visit us and put up with my senseless rambling from time to time!

She has been doing SO good! She's growing like crazy and just as happy and content as a baby could possibly be! She will be 5 months old tomorrow! Can you even believe it?? She loves talking and playing with her toys, laying on the floor watching tv, and loves being played with!! She still hates being on her tummy, so I wouldn't count on her crawling any time soon! She's recently started eating some fruits, and other than the strange faces she makes, she seems to like it! Not sure if she gets more in her mouth or on her face though!

Here she is awaiting her first taste of real food...

And here she is not knowing what to do with it!
For those of you dying to know what all we ended up getting from "C in the V", I've included some pics below!

Awesome spa products!!!

Allie's honorary grandma, Ms. Debbie bought this adorable tutu for her!! You may just be seeing it again in our upcoming Christmas cards! The bib is called a highchair huggie... which is basically a cute way of keeping them in their highchair... kind of like a straight jacket!! We'll see how it works!!
CUTE gift tags!!
I got her fav blanket monogrammed to "girlie" it up a little!

Cute Christmas decor...

Don't worry.. I also have a Christmas rug and an every day rug too, so my kitchen floors will never again be bare!

In addition to these things, I got 4 casseroles, a delicious dessert, some homemade jelly, a gorgeous scentsy burner, some jewelry, a diaper bag tag, a handprint ornament, and probably more that I just can't remember!! We've decided that after the AMAZING turnout this may just have to be an annual event, so we hope to see you all at next year's Christmas in the Valley!! A huge thanks to everyone who came, and especially to my awesome friends and fam who helped make it possible!!!

A Few More Things....

I hope the past 17 days of vendor spotlights have really gotten you excited about Christmas in the Valley! Yes, after all the preparation, it is finally here! I really hope to see you all tomorrow!

In addition to all the wonderful vendors that I've told you about so far, we will be having some AMAZING purses, SUPER FUN & CUTE diaper/tote bags & BIBS that are designed to keep your child in restaurant high chairs, beautiful heirloom candles, body shapers, & MORE!!!!

If you're like me, a lot of times I go to fairs and see TONS of things I want for myself, but I don't feel that I should just spend TONS of money on myself.... To help out with this, we'll be having a Wish List that you can pick up at the front door and turn in before you leave. You can write down things you see that you'd like for Christmas, give us the name and number/email of someone you want us to contact, and hopefully on Christmas morning, you'll be very happy!!

To my regular readers, thanks so much for putting up with my Christmas in the Valley updates for the past few weeks! Next week, things should be back to normal, and I promise to put up lots of pics of Allie!!!

Just in case you've forgotten, here are the event details!

Vendor Spotlight - # 16

This is vendor spotlight # 16 for Christmas in the Valley. Each day, I will be giving you details about a different vendor, letting you know what they offer and why you should come to Christmas in the Valley to check them out! Keep in mind that Christmas in the Valley is a unique craft fair, in that EACH vendor will be offering specials deals and discounts!

Today’s vendor is Taste of Gourmet. Taste of Gourmet offers mixes for dips, soups, desserts, and MORE! While I have not personally tried any of their products, I have been told from a good friend that they are delicious! I am excited, because they will be having lots of items out to sample!

TOG does in-home parties called tastings. TOG is a great, healthy way to share delicious food with friends and family. All a hostess has to do is invite friends and provide cream cheese, Wheat Thins, drinks and napkins. They do all the prep work of preparing the food, etc. At each Tasting at least 12 items are sampled including appetizers, sauces, main courses of soup or meatloaf, bread and desserts. At the Open House they will offer a special little gift to anybody who signs up to do a Tasting as their way to say thank you. Hostesses also get GREAT specials and get at least a 65% savings on an exclusive set of food that they can order when parties total at least $250 (which is not hard to do at all). There is also a free holiday host gift from TOG of Sweet Potato Muffins and 2 kinds of pies. During the year after hosting a Tasting, hosts get a 10% discount on all their orders.

They will have the following specials available at Christmas in the Valley:

Once a customer orders $39.95 worth of products (pre-tax) they can get the following half price specials:

1. Taste of the South for $19.98 (originally $39.95) This includes Jezebel Sauce, Sweet Potato Muffins, Creole File Gumbo, Southern Praline Pie and Peach Pecan Pepper Preserves.

2. Soup Collection for $27.50 (orig $54.95) This includes Black Bean Chili, Colonial Corn Chowder, Potato Soup, Ceamy Delta Bisque, Southwest Soup and Creole File Gumbo.

Vendor Spotlight - # 15

Alright, today you’re gonna get a 2-for-1 on the vendor spotlights. So here is spotlight # 15!

Today’s vendor is Uppercase Living . And it just so happens, that this is my business! I have been an independent demonstrator for Uppercase Living for about a year and a half, and I absolutely love this stuff! Uppercase Living offers vinyl lettering and designs for your walls or any other smooth surface! Please check out my site for more pictures, to view the catalog, and to design custom expressions.

The catalog has a lot of fun, cute sayings and designs, but the real reason that I decided to sign up with Uppercase is for the MyDesign feature. Using this feature, you are literally able to create expressions to say whatever you want! With 50+ fonts and 30+ colors, the sky is the limit!

Why did this excite me? Well, I have always loved the idea of having hand-painted Bible verses on your walls, but have not wanted to pay someone to come do it! This product gives you the look of hand-painted walls for a FRACTION of the price! Here of some of the expressions I have in my home. I LOVE getting to work with people one on one, designing verses that are meaningful to them to fit in their homes. I’ll have my computer at Christmas in the Valley and will be available to help you custom design expressions to go in your home!

I will be offering a special FREE gift with your purchase of $30 or more!

Vendor Spotlight # 9

This is vendor spotlight # 9 for Christmas in the Valley. Each day, I will be giving you details about a different vendor, letting you know what they offer and why you should come to Christmas in the Valley to check them out! Keep in mind that Christmas in the Valley is a unique craft fair, in that EACH vendor will be offering specials deals and discounts!

Today’s vendor, which is ultimately the inspiration behind Christmas in the Valley, is Graceful Gifts by ELK! My mom, sister, and I have been doing some “behind the scenes” crafting for a while now. We have made mini scripture books and magnets to give to people as gifts, and we had the idea that it would be fun to make a bunch of verse magnets to sell at a Christmas craft fair. Well, long story short, that idea morphed into what is now Christmas in the Valley.

Graceful Gifts by ELK (Edmiston, Luce, Kendall - I'll give the credit to Ang for that one!) will now be selling cute Verse magnets, SEC football schedule magnets (for the hubby, or those of us who are equally interested!), Coupon holders, unique picture frames, adorable Christmas ornaments, Appliquéd Christmas towels, and more!

We sure have been busy “crafting” the past 2 months! Between all these things, mom selling Premier, me selling Uppercase Living, and Ang having her new book out for sale (which you should check out, by the way), we figured, why not invite a few vendors and open the house up? Well, a few vendors has since turned into 20, and we’re now hoping this will be THE shopping event of the season! =)

Here are just a few pictures of what we’ll be offering. Keep in mind there will be much more to choose from! We also have fun Christmas-themed verse magnets! The magnets range in price from $3-$5, and will be buy 4, get 1 FREE! The ornaments will be $6, and also buy 4, get 1 FREE! Picture frames will be sold for $10! We wanted to give bargain prices, because we were tired of visiting craft fairs and seeing cute things for high prices, all the while thinking… hey, we could do that for so much cheaper! We hope you can all stop by and see us! We sure are looking forward to it!!

Don’t forget to check by tomorrow for vendor spotlight # 10!
