What's Cookin'?

I'm at a loss this morning. I can't decide for the life of me what I want to cook for Thanksgiving! We have one event on Thursday and one on Friday, which means that this year, I'll actually have a minute to sit back and BREATHE and not feel like I'm running around like a chicken with my head cut off! So, I'd like to make something really fun and delicious for each event, but can't quite decide what to do! I LOVE desserts, so may go that route, but really am open to anything. Any fun ideas? For you Secrets gals, I may go with the yummy white choc brownie cheesecake! What do you think?

  1. That cheesecake sounds divine! Would the recipe happen to be a secret since it's from the Secrets class????

  2. oh, make that and then make an extra for me to taketo our dinner!

  3. haha... no, it's actually in the B-vue cookbook! SO good.. but you have to make it in advance, b/c it has to chill in the fridge overnight. Julie... if there's an extra piece... I MAY could drop it by =)

  4. where is the recipie of the one you told me about that is easy and quick? i have to bring a dessert thursday and i am still deciding what to make. i may try a cherry pie. but i want to see the recipie of the one you were talking about.

  5. Ohh... I didn't even think about doing those for Thanksgiving! Great idea! I think I'll go with that! The recipe is here:

I usually get a tub of sweetened, frozen strawberries and top half of them with a spoonful of those and the other half, I melt 6 oz. semi sweet choc chips with 2 tbsp veg oil and drizzle a little on. It hardens a little when it dries.

  6. 1 1/2 c. graham cracker crumbs
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/4 c. butter, melted
3 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
    3 eggs
    2 tsp. vanilla
Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Combine
crumbs, sugar, and butter; press equal portions into bottoms 24 lightly greased or paper cup lined muffin cups. In large bowl, beat cheese until fluffy. Gradually beat in condensed milk until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix well. Spoon mixture into cups. Bake 20 minutes or until set. Cool. Chill. Top with filling. Refrigerate. Makes about 2 dozen mini cheesecakes. top as described in my previous comment

  7. those sound so good! i will try them soon! thanks!
